Microsoft June Patch Tuesday: Patches for 49 Vulnerabilities Released, with Six Zero-Day Vulnerabilities Exploited In The Wild

In this month’s Patch Tuesday security update, Microsoft includes patches for 49 vulnerabilities, of which six are zero-day vulnerabilities exploited in the wild. Out of the 49 vulnerabilities, the vendor rated five as critical and 44 as important in severity.

G7 Nations Deal to Tax Multinationals to Potentially Extend to Other Countries

G7 nations have agreed on global taxation rules. The deal aims to make it harder for multinational companies to avoid paying taxes by ensuring they pay them in the nations they operate. It also sets a minimum global tax rate of 15 percent. Although G7 countries cannot enforce the new regulatory framework, the agreement is an important first step as the G20 could adopt the agreement in the coming months. The agreement also sets the pace towards new tax regulation approaches that include companies selling services and products remotely
